What You Do Today, Determines Tomorrow's Success

“What are you going to do today that sets up tomorrow’s success?”

Because success usually isn’t one giant moment. It’s the small stuff done consistently while everybody else is waiting for the “right time.”

Make the call.

Post the content.

Fix the website.

Learn the technology.

Follow up.

Build the relationship.

Especially now, with AI and digital search changing by the minute, the businesses adapting today are the ones that’ll dominate tomorrow.

Momentum compounds... So does procrastination. And oh, how I've learned this the hard way!

Future you is either going to thank you… or want to fight you.

It's hard to believe, but it's been over a year since I was in radio, and one of the greatest feelings has been realizing the relationships, friendships, and trust built over all those years didn’t end when I turned off the mic. If anything, they’ve grown stronger. It means more than I can put into words when groups still reach out and ask me to host their events. Whether it’s a fundraiser or a Mardi Gras bal, there’s something incredibly humbling about being trusted to help create the energy for moments that matter so much to people. Last night, I had the honor of helping to raise money for Evergreen Life Services. These aren’t just events on a calendar. For many organizations, it’s their biggest fundraiser of the year. Months of work, planning, and passion go into one evening, and they’re trusting YOU to help carry the tone, engage the crowd, keep the momentum moving, and make guests feel connected and entertained. That’s a responsibility I never take lightly. And honestly… it feeds my soul. I’ve always loved connecting with people, making them laugh, making them feel welcome, and helping create experiences people remember long after the lights go down. Radio allowed me to do that for years, but getting to continue doing it face-to-face at events across our region has been incredibly rewarding. In a lot of ways, it’s also become the heartbeat of what we’re building with Green Growth Group. At our core, Green Growth Group is about more than business development or marketing. It’s about building community. It’s about helping businesses, nonprofits, and organizations strengthen relationships, tell their stories, bring people together, and create meaningful connections that last. Because at the end of the day, growth happens through people. Through trust. Through relationships. Through showing up for your community consistently and authentically. That’s why every event means something to me. Every fundraiser that helps change lives. Every krewe celebration that keeps traditions alive. It’s all part of building something bigger than ourselves. To every group that has called, texted, tagged, referred, booked, or trusted me over this past year — thank you. You’ve reminded me that sometimes the platform changes, but the purpose doesn’t. And for that, I’m deeply grateful. — Erin “Bristol” Woods
